What’s New with RADAR

Ctuit has made significant investments in hiring qualified employees to keep up with the rapid growth of our business in both our Novato, CA and Houston, TX offices. Highly invested in our customer service team and emerging technology, Ctuit Software has increased our team by over 12% in the past seven months. Client service has always been our focus and our new team members speak to that commitment. All of our team members are former restaurant operators and have significant insight into restaurant operations and technology. Here are some old and new faces from our Novato, CA office.

Peace, love and sushi…since Sushi Maki opened in 2000, they’ve been on a roll (pun intended) spreading the joy of what great sushi should be; delicious, responsibly sourced ingredients, creative and tasty combinations and an experience you want to have again and again. They have grown from one sushi shop in South Miami to 6 restaurants and multiple sushi stations across south Florida bringing delicious fishes, positive vibes and a message of healthier lives to many.

Tin Roof, started by Jason and Elizabeth Sheer, opened in 2002 near Nashville’s famed Music Row. Their goal was to give musicians a place to play & a place to hang when they weren’t on stage. The tasty food, fun, eclectic environment, community of regulars and friendly crew helped quickly establish Tin Roof as the place to be for musicians and non-musicians alike.

Since then, they have expanded to multiple cities taking the Music City vibe on the road, and have given musicians more places to play and hang. Over the years, their stages have hosted the famous, the should have been famous, and everyone in between.

They’ve also introduced their TennMex menu, a unique regional American cuisine that blends foods specifically available in Tennessee and neighboring states, along with the culinary creations of Mexican-Americans influenced by Mexican cuisine.
Today, there are 13 Tin Roof locations across the country with more on the way.

Glazed & Infused presents a flavorful re-invention of the iconic American doughnut, handcrafted and uniquely imagined for your enjoyment. With a focus on artisan technique, local sourcing, and quality flavors, Glazed & Infused is a leader among the Chicago doughnut scene. Established in 2012 by acclaimed Chef and Restaurateur, Scott Harris, Glazed & Infused doughnut and coffee shops are fun and casual. All of their doughnuts are made fresh daily by hand, using only the best whole and natural ingredients. Their creative culinary team rotates flavors seasonally and adds excitement to their menu with imaginative holiday and specialty doughnuts as well as custom doughnuts for their customers’ special events.

Davanti Enoteca, an Italian wine bar established by acclaimed Chef and Restaurateur, Scott Harris, offers shareable plates of rustic Italian cuisine from pastas, pizzas, and entrees in addition to small plate items such as vasi (mini mason jars with Tuscan toast), antipasti, salads and tableside presentations. Exposed brick and refurbished wood create the ambiance of a countryside cottage in Italy.

Payroll Validation
Payroll Validation is included with Ctuit RADAR’s base polling package and is designed to help identify potential mistakes with employee pay checks before they’re processed. This highly configurable module allows for the customization of validation rules that will allow you to save time, money and ensure your historical labor numbers are correct.

Labor Scheduling
Ctuit RADAR’s Labor Scheduling module is a one stop solution for employee scheduling. Ctuit RADAR provides the tools and information necessary to help control labor costs and drive profitability by proactive labor scheduling and analysis of labor and sales data.

Event Management
The Event Management module ties together all elements of event management for the event manager, kitchen staff, and customer. This module is ideal for organizing parties, receptions, and other private dining events.

Ctuit launched an update to our popular mobile app, On The Fly, version 1.3. This update includes new and improved features that continue to enhance a user’s ability to view and manage their restaurant’s critical data.The Manager Log module has been expanded to include the full functionality of the Manager Log in RADAR.  Now, users can add, edit, and delete tasks, events, messages, staffing notes, and log entries directly from their mobile devices. Update today at the App Store or Google Play.

    Relay For Life of Novato on Saturday, July 26, 2014. Each year, more than 4 million people in over 20 countries raise much-needed funds and awareness to save lives from cancer through the Relay For Life movement. Ctuit’s team, Seeing to the End of Cancer (Team Ctuit), exceeded our donation goal of $10,000 by raising over $13,375! Thank you to everyone who was there and helped make it happen. We were moved by the outreach of,support and generosity of contributions.

We are Listening to You

Each month, we receive dozens of feature requests. We work hard to accommodate your specific needs. Here are some recent feature requests we created.

THE PROBLEM: In the Labor Scheduling module, jobs available for scheduling were not filtered out so it allowed scheduling shifts for expired jobs.
THE SOLUTION: A new setting for Labor Scheduling has been added “Jobs to Exclude from Schedule Builder and Templates.” This gives a client the ability to select jobs to be removed as an option for Labor Scheduling.

THE PROBLEM: The new Safe Counts page in the Manual Data Entry module only offered the ability to perform a single daily count, while most companies count their safes at least twice a day.
THE SOLUTION: A new setting has been added to the Manual Data Entry module “Number of times you count your safe per day,” which gives a client the option to select from 1 up to 3 times per day. This drives the Safe Counts page to provide the ability to enter up to 3 safe counts per day which can also be reflected in reporting.

THE PROBLEM: There was an existing ability to upload files in the Manager Log module for Events, Staffing, and Log Entries but there was no similar option for Messages.
THE SOLUTION: The ability to upload a file to a Message in the Manager Log has been added as an option.

THE PROBLEM: In the Event Management module, events were associated with the person who entered the event in the system, not necessarily the person who sold the event.
THE SOLUTION: On the Details section of an event in the Event Management module, new options to enter a Salesperson with related information has been added in order to more accurately track who is selling the events in the system and for reporting purposes.
